The SEKUR NAVY CAP complies with the PPE Directive 89/686 / EEC and subsequent amendments and with the national standard transposing the harmonized standard EN 1146 and ISO 23269-1. It also complies with the MED 2014/90 / EU Directive and the PED 2014/68 / EU Directive. Available models: CNS 10 minutes and CNS 15 minutes of nominal duration.
CHARACTERISTICS AND CONSTITUENT ELEMENTS
SNC is a constant flow hooded breathing apparatus for escape from areas where toxic substances or oxygen deficiency may occur. For use, simply open the carrying bag, wear the hood and escape.
AUTOMATIC DRIVE • The continuous flow of air is automatically activated by opening the bag. A quick release pin is present on the pressure reducer and is connected to the end of the zipper of the bag. The action of pulling the zipper to open the bag causes the device activation pin to be disengaged. • There is also a tear-off seal that indicates whether the device has already been used or tampered with.
PNEUMATIC CIRCUIT • The pressure reducer that incorporates the opening valve is located on the cylinder, and is a piston type with a calibrated delivery hole. The unit incorporates a pressure indicator and an audible warning device that emits a sharp whistle when the nominal duration is about to be exceeded; the acoustic signal is incorporated in the protective cap that closes the fitting (according to EN 144-2) for refilling the cylinder. There is also a safety valve that prevents the achievement of dangerous overpressures in the event of a failure.
HOOD • The hood has an innovative conformation to optimize comfort and visibility. It is made of self-extinguishing material with a bright color to facilitate the individuality of the wearer. • A flexible internal harness, without the need for adjustments, allows correct positioning of the internal half-mask; a collar in elastomeric material, easy to put on, ensures the tightness of the hood around the neck. The excellent optical quality viewer is made of soft PVC, which is also self-extinguishing and anti-fog.

SNC PERFORMANCES • The SNC includes a compressed air cylinder complete with valve and pressure reducer, spiral tube for air supply and transport bag. • The innovative conception of the hood ensures a high level of comfort and a broad front and side view. The type of exhalation valve used, among the most advanced models manufactured by D.P.I., ensures high performance and reliability. The device is available in 10 and 15 minute versions. The hood can easily be folded flat and housed in the bag over the cylinder without damaging the screen, ready for rapid extraction, wearing and use. The hood is made of self-extinguishing and resistant PVC coated fabric with a silicone seal collar. The presence of an internal half mask completes the device in order to prevent the screen from fogging and to limit the concentration of CO2 in the inspired air.
TANKS • 10 minutes from the SNC it uses a 2.0 liter steel tank loaded at 200 bar, which corresponds to a 400 liter air supply and ensures a constant flow autonomy of about 35 liters / minute at least 10 minutes. • from 15 minutes the SNC uses a cylinder, also in 3.0 liter steel at 200 bar, which corresponds to a 600 liter air supply and ensures a constant flow autonomy of about 35 liters / minute of at least 15 minutes. The cylinders are CE marked according to the PED Directive. Other configurations can be made available upon request.
ACOUSTIC SIGNALER • SNC is equipped with an acoustic signal which lasts when the air reserve is nearing exhaustion and the concentration of CO2 inside the hood tends to rise above the permitted limits.
TRANSPORT BAG • The SNC carrying bag has been specifically designed and built for maximum functionality. It is made of sturdy fabric coated in self-extinguishing PVC and red antistatic. • The bag allows a quick wearing, it can easily be worn around the neck or on the shoulder.
A zipper allows a rapid opening with consequent automatic activation of the air flow and a seal indicates any previous use or tampering with the device. • On the bag there is also an opening with a transparent screen to allow viewing of the pressure gauge that indicates the filling status of the cylinder and the correct positioning of the air flow activation pin
