94/9 / EC ATEX Directive (Explosive Atmosphere): this is the European Union Directive to which two-way radios must comply if used in potentially explosive environments. This new device from Hytera is approved for the following ATEX and IECEx "ib" zone 1, 2 protection classes:

Gas classification: II 2 G Ex ib IIC T4

Dust classification: II 2 D Ex ib IIIC T120 ° C

Mining environments classification: I M2 Ex ib I

Whether it's an oil rig, a gas depot, a mine, or any other potentially explosive environment, relying on safe and reliable communications is absolutely important.
To provide workers in hazardous environments with an even higher level of safety, Hytera offers Mandown (man down) as standard and integrated GPS receiver for radio location.

PD715Ex Hytera - Portable transceiver without keyboard and without display, for uses where ease of use is required, available in VHF (136 - 174 MHz) or UHF (400 - 470 MHz) range with RF power 1 W, analog / digital dual mode to ETSI DMR Tier II standard (up gradable via SW to DMR Tier III). Compliant with European ATEX directives, FM, IEC standards and with its exceptional robustness, this professional radio guarantees reliable communications even in hazardous environments, such as those containing explosive gases and combustible dusts.

The PD715Ex is a robust and reliable system terminal, characterized by a high level of scalability. The device integrates seamlessly into all conventional DMR Tier II analog or digital systems. Thanks to up-grade software, the PD715Ex can also operate in MPT1327 analog standard Trunking systems (multi-access) or in Hytera XPT (eXtended Pseudo Trunk) digital trunking systems without control channel or in modern more advanced digital trunking systems with control channel DMR Tier III standard (similar to TETRA).
