The definition of DPI fall or better than Personal Protective Equipment against falls from height is a suitable device to ensure a person to a safe anchorage point in order to prevent or stop safely from above fall.

Fall arrest PPE to be used on elevated workplaces, you can be divided:

Lowering device:
Access in confined spaces: to be adopted mainly when the operator who needs to enter tanks, manholes, etc. and may occur, in case of emergency, the need for a recovery from above. This system includes an anchor point (tripod, davit), a full body harness (2 or 3 anchorage points), a connecting device (retractable / recovery device).

Saving: These devices are used for rescue and emergency evacuation by means of which a person can get off by itself, or with the assistance of a second person, at a limited speed from a high position to a lower position. This system is composed of an anchor point / connector for anchoring (eg. Quadpod), a sling to 2 or 3 points of most rescue sling anchoring, triangle or stretcher, a connecting device (for evacuation device, device fall, pulley systems for recovery).

Rope Access: When traditional access methods are not applicable, the rope access systems will suspend the operator in the workplace allowing it to work with your hands free. This system includes an anchor point / anchorage connector, a sit harness (with 2 or 3-point), connection device (static line with a guided type fall arrester and static rope with ski and exit controlled devices .
